18th January 2012 saw Dalmore Sirius go up for sale at McTear’s Auctioneers Rare & Collectable whisky auction. With only 12 bottles ever released this rare whisky distilled in 1951, is sealed in an exclusive Tier One decanter produced by Glencairn Crystal, the Dalmore’s Sirius is a single-cask highland malt whisky, with a cask strength of 45%. The whisky comes with a hand written letter from Dalmore Master Distiller, Richard Paterson, who in 2009 said of the Sirius:

“Distinguished and elegant, age has gracefully finessed this brilliant expression. Sirius is, quite simply, one of the world’s most perfect whiskies.”
