The Glencairn Glass featured prominently at the inaugural Glasgow Whisky Festival. Held in ‘The Arches’ an arts venue situated in historic railway arches below Central Station in the centre of Glasgow. The event was a tremendous success with over 40 exhibitors and over 500 visitors.
Glasgow Whisky Festival put emphasis on Glasgow’s closest distilleries and the independent bottlers as well as celebrating whisky from all over Scotland and the rest of the world. The event was co-organised by Mark Connelly (WhiskyWhiskyWhisky) and Bill Mackintosh (Chairman of Glasgow’s Whisky Club) in conjunction with Glasgow’s Whisky Club. The Festival is hoped to become an annual event with next year already booked.
