A bottle of ultra-premium Glengoyne 40yo Highland Single Malt displayed in a Glencairn crystal decanter and housed in a solid oak presentation box has become the most expensive single malt whisky ever to be purchased in Malaysia. Sold for RM16,500 (US$5,500) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) it has set a new record for brand owner Ian Macleod Distillers, as well as a milestone for the Malaysian travel retail industry.

Established in 1933, Ian Macleod Distillers is one of the largest independent family companies within the spirits industry. Glencairn Crystal would like to congratulate them on this land mark purchase.
